Saturday morning I had a few hours before my mid-day return flight to New York. I walked to the center of the city to hoping to re-shoot the panoramic image of the central square at the Stare Miasto. A single construction truck and a barricade were still present in the middle of the square though fewer restaurant tables and other obstructions were set-up so early in the morning. I found a suitable location and made another image.
I returned to the hotel and packed my bags for the last time. At the stop for bus 175 to the airport, the grounds surrounding the Palace of Culture and Science were packed with merchant stalls selling fruit, breads, and other small goods. A pastry stall was only a few steps from the bus stop; peach and apricot fillings glistened in the sunlight. With a grumbling stomach, I boarded the bus went home.
